Are you ready for the switchover?

Starting in 2008 and ending in 2012, TV in the UK will go completely digital, this means the UK's old television broadcast signal which is currently analogue will be switched off and replaced with a digital signal.

Any TV set that is not converted to digital when the switchover takes place will no longer receive TV programmes. This does not mean your current set is not compatible and you must buy a new one. Don’t be fooled by what anyone else says to you.

It is a lot cheaper than you may imagine. In worst cases you may need to upgrade your aerial and you will need to buy a digital set top box. (Freeview)

TV Aerial Requirements

These vary according to:

* The reception area you are in;
* The transmitter you are receiving from;
* The amount of aerial points you are using.

If you have anything blocking the reception i.e. trees, building cranes etc. There is never just one solution to an aerial problem and very often it can be the implementation of a few different techniques which give you the reception you require.
